The Bombix Mori follows a series of "bulb only" luminaires. Used carefully, it can create very beautiful effects. As a room divider or in the Scandinavian tradition in the window, so that it shines far and wide and guides friends to the house.
Bombix Mori is the Latin name for the silkworm in a mulberry tree. As curious as the name sounds, so is the story of the creation of the luminaire that is now called Bombix Mori.
While the designers are sitting at a glass table at the northern Italian manufacturer of the madetostay luminaire collection, discussing design-minded details, Mrs. Bellini, the manufacturer's wife, enters the room with a light bulb in her hand, arms outstretched like an Olympic torchbearer, and an enlightened look on her face. What had long been floating around in her mind and the minds of the craftswomen now became a reality and was carried triumphantly to the table.
The Bombix Mori Cocooning luminaire can be used as a single luminaire, for example, in a corner of a room, a niche or as a room divider. A group of Bombix Mori, the silkworms, can also have a very beautiful effect. .
