Cleaning & care of Arca X-Tract Brew

Cleaning the three parts is super easy... Simply rinse everything under running water and put it in the dishwasher from time to time for a thorough clean.

Simple - durable - robust and spare parts are available

We find the ARCA to be very robust. Borosilicate glass is also used in laboratories because of its good properties at hot and cold temperatures and also because of the smoothness of the surfaces. Glass is easy to clean, just like porcelain, and no flavourings remain in the pores. In addition, the glass is very light and also edge-resistant. Personally, we have never broken a jug, even though it is used several times a day. We have described elsewhere that we often take the ARCA with us on picnics in a basket or backpack. Simply protected with a cloth, the coffee pot withstands normal wear and tear. On the road, we simply rinse the pot under running water.

The same robustness and practicality also applies to the porcelain lid. The silicone ring keeps it attached to the filter and prevents it from falling into your fresh coffee. If something does happen during rinsing, you can of course buy a replacement lid in our online shop.

The filter is made of sturdy 18/8 stainless steel with an additional sieve inside. The coffee contains oils, which give us the incomparable taste and make the coffee the way we love it. As the oils settle in the filter, it should be cleaned properly more often with hot water and detergent either by hand or in the dishwasher. The dishwashers in the catering trade always have very high temperatures and you can also set this at home. If the filter no longer drains so well, you should use a really "hot" wash.

We usually dispose of the coffee grounds and then rinse the filter from the outside in under running water. Once a week or as needed, we clean the whole pot or just the filter in the dishwasher. Please do not use any sharp objects to stir the coffee or to clean the filter so as not to damage it from the inside. We also have replacement filters or tea filters in stock. You can find all the single items in the category spare parts.
